Exciting News!

Dear members,

A piece of exciting news for you!

The Singapore Slingers will be coming to Maris Stella High School on 30th July 2008 (wednesday) from 330 pm to 430 pm.

The Singapore Slingers is a professional basketball team based in Singapore and licensed to play in the National Basketball League (NBL).

All 12 team members will be coming to conduct a clinic. (To teach basic fundamentals and play matches with you!) It is their Pre-Season training time and thus they will be preparing for their 3rd Season at the Indoor Stadium.

You will be able to meet SAM HARRIS, who is the newest recuit - he is only two inches shorter than YAO MING 7’6”/228cm.

It will definitely be a good experience and fun to Learn from these PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALLERS.

Some Information
The Singapore Slingers is a professional basketball team based in Singapore and licensed to play in the National Basketball League (NBL).

The team is owned and operated by Basketball Enterprises Pte. Ltd. a privately funded Singapore registered company led by sports entrepeneur and NBL Hall of Famer, Bob Turner. The NBL awarded the Singapore Slingers the license to play in the NBL after negotiations with FIBA to extend the reach of the league into Asia via transfer of an existing license from the Hunter Pirates.

The Team comprises of an international line-up including Austalians, Singaporeans, Americans, New Zealanders and now includes the first Filipino to play in the NBL. The Slingers will play 15 home games at the Singapore Indoor Stadium starting the 17th of September 2008.
